Quick blog here something to whet your appetite as it where for the upcoming barrage of wedding photography that will be coming your way on the morrow. Today with trusty alpha in hand, battling wind and sun that were at odds with each other and decent photo making (stupid elements) I was honored to get to do the wedding of two of some of my favorite people. Chris and Krista were married on Tempe town lake in a small intimate but very sweet ceremony. Chris a photographer himself wanted to me to do their wedding. After crying a bit, being silly cheerful a bit, the freak out out of OMG I am responsible for someone's day. Their big once in a life time moments. *I* am supposed to get those? How in the heck can I possibly carry that kind of responsibility? Thank goodness for both hubbins and Chris for their utter and unshakable faith in my abilities. I some some pictures that not only am I darned tooting proud off, make me a little misty eyed to see such a sweet and loving couple get married. Not the wedding they had wanted, but one full of love anyway. Eventually the light decided to cooperate, and the resulting pictures had the warm glow of sunset with the blue undertones of shade and the water behind them. When the chosen pictures are...uh.. chosen the link will be yours. After the bride and groom get it first of course. Each photo shoot I go on and each of of my pictures that I study(and trust me I am my own worst critic so each pictures is nitpicked over) I am learning a lot about my "style", the way I like shots framed and people to look. I am finding more and more that tight shots appeal to me. I do enjoy doing pictures with room to breath, but I am enamored of the intimacy and intensity that one finds in a tightly framed shot. Now that I know I am doing that I need to practice doing other stuff, so I am not caught in a web of only doing one kinda thing. Even though the camera is 4 years old, my little Alpha 100 is a work horse that does all the basic stuff you want. I am pleased even older tech can bring such beauty. I am hoping to upgrade to a A550, when and if money suddenly falls from the sky it might happen.
